The purpose of Society is to propagate and distribute compositions and work pieces of Artur Kapp. The wide aim of society is to introduce life and creation of famous people from neighbourhood of Suure-Jaani or from the Northern part of County of Viljandi.

To achieve it`s purposes society has several functions:

• Researhing life and creation of Artur Kapp
• To propagate and publish compositions and work pieces of Artur Kapp
• Arranging several concerts, festivals and competitions

Society has rights to extradite and publish several works and recordings, arrange concerts, festivals, conferences and similar endeavours, create the funds, settle up grants and allowances, give awards.
